Primary Stages - Year 1 to Year 6

British International Primary is organised in six stages, each of which corresponds to one year of primary education. Stage 1 is the first primary school year, usually when children are approximately 5 years old.  Stage 6 is the final primary school year, typically the year in which children reach their 11th birthday. Our curriculum framework provides learning objectives for each of these stages. However, in some educational contexts it may be appropriate to introduce the stages at slightly different ages or to expand or contract certain stages so that they take more or less time to complete. Being mindful of possible differences in the rate of development different children, Avicci Academy always undertakes to conduct an assessment programme prior to admitting any child to any educational year.  Fees for each primary year (1 to 6) include full access to the Learning Management System, for parents and children, and fees cover all standard Primary subjects. For subject information, please refer to the Curriculum section.

International GCSE - Choice of Subjects and Fees Per Subject

International GCSE – the International General Certificate of Secondary Education – is a two-year programme leading to externally set, marked and certificated examinations. A student who takes an International GCSE subject will be gaining a qualification that is recognised globally. These are established qualifications that keep pace with educational developments and trends and are an ideal foundation for higher level courses such as AS and A Levels. Students typically sit seven to nine subjects in one session at the end of Year 11. We prepare students, in depth, for external examinations. However we do not set or register external examinations – students make their own arrangements for external examinations and may choose where to sit their examinations, from any one of the many registered external examination centres.  For subject information, please refer to the Curriculum section.

AS and A Levels - Range of Subjects - Fee Per Subject

AS (Advanced Subsidiary) and A (Advanced) level qualifications normally take two years to complete, studying full-time. Study is split into two parts, of which one part is studied in each year. The first part is the Advanced Subsidiary level (AS level) – AS Level is a qualification in its own right. The second year of study, A2 level, together with the AS level year of study, leads to the complete A Level qualification. A levels are subject-based qualifications that can lead to university, further study, training, or work. Normally, three or more A Level subjects are studied over a two year study period. Before taking A Level, students must first study and complete AS Level. In external examinations, the scores for AS level and A2 level are averaged to produce the overall A Level result. AS and A2 Level papers must be sat within a 12 month period of one another. . We prepare students, in depth, for external examinations. However we do not set or register external examinations – students make their own arrangements for external examinations and may choose where to sit examinations, with a  registered external examination centres.  For subject information, please refer to the Curriculum section.

How to Pay and Enrol in a Course

Enrolment in and payment for study courses is handled directly from our Learning Management System portal – https://avicci.academy.  From here, it is possible for the parent of the student, to register an account and to manage their child’s enrolment in relevant courses, as well as their child’s study progress.  It is typically necessary for a parent to register first as a parent and then to register each child on a separate account.
